Computer Graphics Programmer - Senior full-time, Lisbon

We want a coder to work with our super coders at the studio, to collaborate in the development of human-computer interaction projects. Candidates should be reasonably proficient in C++ and Java, as they will be developing computer graphics for various new media in tools like openFrameworks(C++) and Processing (Java). Previous experience in computer graphics programming and interface development is appreciated, in particular experience in Actionscript 3 programming and PaperVision 3D.

A familiarity with Bluetooth and other wireless protocols is also required but not fundamental.  A basic understanding of electronics, sensors and micro-controllers such as Arduino is also very welcome.

We are searching for candidates that demonstrate the ability to work as an integral part of a small but highly effective team, and possess the ability to prioritize and structure work methodically and effectively.

Electronics Specialist - part/full time, Lisbon

We are searching for an electronic expert to develop, assemble and tests electronic prototypes. Candidates should be competent in physical computing, and be familiar with most common electronic components, micro-controllers such as Arduino, sensors and actuators, parallel and serial communication. A knowledge in wireless communication is favored, in particular RFID, Bluetooth and Xbee.

Relevant work experience: less than 1 year.
Education: undergraduate degree, or professional equivalent.

Junior Graphic Designer - Intern part/full time, Lisbon

For this intern position, we welcome enthusiastic designers with a communication design background, and good skills in graphic and interface design. Computer skills must comprise programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign.

Hard working candidates that can balance an adaptable and multipurpose mind with a strong visual and conceptual approach are favored. A high sense of responsibility as well as an ability to work in team and help its members. Excellent attention to detail.

He/she will be collaborating in the development of digital interfaces for multiple displays, and would have the chance to learn and expand their experience with some of the senior designers at NearInteraction.

Junior Interaction Designer/Developer - Intern part/full time, Lisbon

We are looking for young motivated people with beginner/intermediate skills in interaction design and/or interactive multimedia. This position requires a basic understanding of creative programming, using computer languages like Actionscript and Processing. Familiarity with electronics, sensors and micro-controllers such as Arduino is very welcome, although not fundamental.

Profile may include an art and design background, or a more technical background such as computer science and multimedia. For this placement we are not looking for highly experienced people, but young and enthusiastic individuals, with a curious and methodic mind, that would be willing to learn and grow with us.

He/she will be collaborating in the development of highly interactive design projects, and would have the chance to learn and expand their experience with some of the senior developers at NearInteraction.
