NearInteraction is proud to represent the Comissão Nacional para as Comemorações do Centenário da República (developed for the centennial celebrations since Republic implementation) with a travelling exhibition of a multi-touch interactive table that reads QR coded cards. Already displayed at two official meetings, the Congresso da Associação Nacional de Municípios Portugueses, in Viseu, Portugal, and a formal launch in the Biblioteca do Palácio Nacional da Ajuda, in Lisbon, Portugal, the table will be moving to multiple events and several locations around the country. The table displays an intuitive interface upon which the visitors can explore, amongst other topics, the significant events of the Republic, biographies of representative people as well as all the events and initiatives taking place in 2010 as part of the celebrations.

NearInteraction joined forces with ModaLisboa | Estoril to create an interactive application for their catwalk LEDwall.
Following the success of the previous edition, where NearInteraction featured an interactive multi-touch table that allowed realtime visualisation of the catwalk pictures immediately after each show, for this edition, NearInteraction presented a generative application that responds visually to the movement of each model as well as the sound accompanying the show.

In collaboration with dass, NearInteraction created an interactive installation for the launch of the exhibition Habitar Portugal.
What will the City of the Future be?
Playtecture is an fictional architectural game that explores the theme of the future of the city, by creating an urban, playful, dynamic and emotional ambiance that changes and interacts in real-time with the public.

September saw NearInteraction as the TEDxEdges Chromium Sponsor proudly contributing to the conference that took place in Lisbon.

Throughout the duration of the event, TEDxEdges featured an innovative multi-touch application developed by NearInteraction, in collaboration with Pacifica and The Others, which allowed the participants real-time navigation of all the comments shared through the Twitter platform. The multi-touch table, presented by NearInteraction at TEDxEdges, is an unique hardware that allows multi-user interaction through touch, combined with graphics and visual information displayed directly on the surface.

Featured in ExperimentaDesign Lisbon 2009, Urban Fluxes is an interactive window developed by NearInteraction that makes use of the Facebook platform being exhibited until the 22nd of September in the Hotel Bairro Alto, in Lisbon.
Connected via mobile phone and the Internet, the aplication feeds from information generated by the dynamics of the city inhabitants, its visitors, and the complex inter-connections that are created between people and their environment.
